Damien J. Carter is currently one of the most respected DJ's in Germany; a European Premier League DJ.

You'll probably have heard of Damien J. Carter through his first hit 'Holding On' (Milk &Sugar/Credence/EMI UK) when he appeared on the scene two years ago and rocked the dance floors all over the world, including the Australian dance charts with a top ten hit. Since then, Silicone Soul, Ru Paul, RnB Queen Mya, Kristine W., (Yeah!-The Main Theme of Scary Movie 2) and UK# 1 artist Daniel Bedingfield - just to name a few - have all asked for a remix treatment from Damien.

With his own productions he convinces everybody; first the girls, than the DJ`s and somewhere between that, Boy George, who gets wet eyes (only because of business interests) when somebody mentions “Wonderboy Damien”.

To think Damien’s success is surprising is certainly not right.

Whoever has seen him live on stage – which can only be recommended- recognize that he is definitely not a 'first timer'. It is obvious that he knows how to spin the turntables and that he has a lot of fun doing it. Where other DJs seem to be bored of just doing their work, Damien plays two or three records at the same time, lets the vinyls turn forward and backwards, with the needle on top or on the bottom – where George Morell had to look at twice!

Damien uses at least three turntables, an external effects board and a sampler just to give the expression “live-DJing” a new meaning.

He djs at the most esteemed clubs, the biggest events, open airs & Festivals, including the Comet Music Award (Germany), where pop stars like Anastacia, Ronan Keating, Ashanti, Atomic Kitten etc. danced to the sound of the underground, mixed by Damien J. Carter.

Damien has been DJing since the age of 14, first Hip Hop then House but always “vinyl with a soul”. After he built up a little fan-crowd in smaller local clubs, the big business took notice of him. The consequences were live-acts, debut record releases and last but not least, bookings to major locations and events like Miami, Ibiza, Nature One and the Loveparade. Since 1997 he has been a member of the Milk & Sugar Label and community, which sets a great standard of musical output.

Besides his own releases Damien collaborates with his mate and DJ college Howard Donald, known as an Ex member of the Group ‘Take That’. Together they founded a new dance/pop project called Beauville which is being offered to companies right now. For the first song they worked together on the track with Gary Barlow, also an ex member of the group Take That. Damien has also produced Tracks with Ex Bizzare Inc. singer Angie Brown, a summer anthem with Mike Milk and Steven Sugar aka Milk & Sugar, a collaboration with New York singer Darryl D'Bonneau and a new song with Lizzy Petterson from England. So it’s no wonder that, one after the other, new singers and artists always leave their demos and business-cards at the studio-door. As you can imagine, this is the beginning of a great career and not just in the house scene.

He has still to prove that he can keep pace with stars like Joey Negro and Eddie Amador, with whom he has been compared with a couple of times. The fact that such comparisons came from the “Leaders Of The World League” themselves, is certainly not a bad sign.
